El Conejito Verde (The Green Rabbit) is a Mexican folktale adapted collaboratively for the stage. This play is designed for Kindergarten through 5th Grade, and is fully bilingual. Four professional actors portray multiple characters and engage the children by having them help move the story along. El Conejito Verde tells the tale of a mischievous prince who learns the true meaning of love and loyalty after his father punishes him by transforming him into a rabbit. The story is told using hand-crafted masks, live musical accompaniment, and lots of interaction between cast and audience.
