Letter from the Director

Dear Arts Supporters,

It is an honor for me to serve Young Audiences of Houston (YAH) as its Executive Director. The opportunity to build on YAH’s 52 year history of successfully educating and inspiring children through the arts is one that I embrace with great enthusiasm. As an artist, educator and administrator, I have experienced first hand the critical role YAH plays in our community and am pleased to support the organizations continued growth and service in Houston.

The mission of YAH is to educate and inspire children through the arts, to make the arts an integral part of the school curriculum, and to advance the field of arts in education though professional development and community partnerships. In its most recently completed season, YAH’s roster of 65 professional artists, representing all fine arts disciplines, brought the arts and culture to more than 335,000 children through over 2,000 high quality performances, workshops, and residences in school and community venues throughout the greater Houston area.

Both our YAH catalog and web site have been designed to most effectively demonstrate the diversity and depth of existing and new YAH programs, services, artists and ensembles, as well as offer important information about YAH, scheduling, and new events and resources available to clients.

On behalf of the YAH staff, directors, committees, and artists, I thank you in advance for your important commitment to bringing high quality YAH arts programming to your venue. I look forward to helping you realize your fine arts and educational goals by utilizing the vast resources of Young Audiences of Houston.

J. Todd Frazier
