As the 2021 year draws near, Young Audiences of Houston prepares for a year of celebration, commemorating our 65th Anniversary!
Founded in 1956, Young Audiences of Houston was the first organization to provide outreach arts education programs for area children. Our founder, Fredell Lack looked for opportunities for every child to experience the arts, regardless of their socio-economic background. This groundbreaking programming brought professional musicians directly to children at their local school and over the decades expanded to include all forms of art.
Today, the expansive programs and services provided by Young Audiences of Houston serve on average over 200,000 children across 14 counties. Partnering with the highest caliber of artists, the roster of Young Audiences of Houston artists include 264 talented individuals with expertise in a wide variety of visual, performing, and digital arts.
We look forward to releasing final details as soon as we are safely able to do so and encourage you to also contribute to our Annual Fund or Emergency Fund for Teaching Artists below.
