The Young Audiences of Houston logo
is designed to represent the full
spectrum of arts and participants, and
seeks to use the full spectrum of colors.
The colors should be bright, fully
saturated and vibrant. Colors can be
pulled from the starburst as reference.
Our typographic style is strong, clear and youthful. The main typeface for the brand is Gotham.
Headlines should be prominent, limited to a small number of words and lower case.
Body copy should be large enough to be legible with sufficient white space.
Typestyles for content should be applied consistently throughout the layout.
ACCEPTABLE TYPEFACE SUBSTITUTIONS
Helvetica and Arial can be used as font substitutions for Gotham in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint or Excel.
RECOMMENDED TYPE TREATMENTS
PRIMARY COLORS
The logo is created in 4-color/CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). The typographic element (Young Audiences / Arts for Learning) can be used with the Pantone color 424 C for the gray, and 3272 C for the teal.
headlines
The primary typeface for headlines is Gotham Black in lower case.
The size and weight should be prominent and clear in relationship to the body copy.
SUBHEADLINES
The primary typeface for subheadlines is Gotham Bold in all capitals.

Body copy should be Gotham Light. For italics and bold uses please use the italic and bold options for the typeface, rather than using the italic and bold defaults in the application (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
